Sometimes it is helpful to obtain information and understanding, or simply new ideas and concepts, in the form of output already written. As both an academic and an industry journalist, Dr Peter Wells has a diverse range of output that might be helpful to your project. See the publications list for a view some recent publications.
Typically, management reports focus on a specific issue or theme, and then provide an in-depth analysis and description, in a substantial document. Dr Wells has produced many such reports over the years, though of course all such work is time-limited in its real value. These reports (often collaborative) have been published by organisations such as The Economist Intelligence Unit, the Financial Times, and more recently, Metal Bulletin.
Currently there is in preparation a management report to be published by www.automotiveworld.com on the future of materials use in the automotive industry up to 2020.

The majority of the short papers produced by Dr Peter Wells are published in the first instance by Automotiveworld.com for which a subscription is required. Other short papers of a less serious or industry focus can be viewed on the website of one of the academic research organisations to which Dr Wells belongs (www.brass.cf.ac.uk). However, older short papers can be downloaded directly from the site here, as well as papers not published elsewhere. In both cases, these short papers are available free of charge.
