Not only does Dr Wells teach journalist students at Cardiff  University, he contributes to ongoing news and current affairs for other journalists. Sometimes this is just background information, leads or lines of inquiry. Sometimes an informed quote is helpful, or a means to provide a previously unconsidered idea.

Dr Peter Wells has worked on live television and radio news, as well as contributed to all manner of print media stories: he has been quoted in the press ranging from The Wall Street Journal and Time magazine to the Stoke Sentinel and South Wales Echo. He also has provided help to specialist journals such as Aluminium Today, The Steel Times, The Engineer, and The Ethical Corporation magazine.
